Dr. Kevin Kovacs, Principal and Head of School and Administration for Dixon School of Arts & Sciences, represents one of twenty-two unique organizations enrolled in Pensacola State College’s inaugural certification program. As he oversees the day-to-day operations of the school, Kevin is charged with upholding and furthering its mission of providing values-based excellence in academic achievement focused on the arts and sciences and creative experiences for its students, their families, and the community.

In his role, Dr. Kovacs supports the development and success of his faculty and staff, the students, and the educational institution itself. He aims to create a community within Dixon School of Arts & Sciences that celebrates the growth and achievements of bright, young minds while fostering integrity, creativity, and curiosity.

Through certification with the PSC Center for Nonprofit Excellence and Philanthropy, Kevin hopes to elevate the school, its board, and its workforce to further its mission and expand its reach within the community.

“Throughout my experience as part of the certification program, I find myself learning a great deal of valuable information that I’m inspired to bring back to our board to help improve our organization,” Kevin commented. “As with anything you’re passionate about, there is always more work to be done.”
