Position – Director of Development, Big Brother Big Sisters of Northwest Florida
Position Purpose: To serve as lead strategist for agency fund development, helping the Chief Executive Officer and management team create a multi-year plan for increasing voluntary revenue which informs and supports the agency’s
plans for growth.
Key elements of the agency fund development program include donor acquisition and fund-raising events; an annual giving program; major gifts from individuals; and corporate and foundation giving. Supporting elements include donor stewardship; gift entry and acknowledgment; database management; and donor research.
Coordinating, overseeing, and staffing the development department to include marketing & communications coordinator and special events & partnership coordinator positions. Reports to CEO. Also serves as primary staff support (in fundraising matters) for the Chief Executive and the Board and works with the CEO to function as the agency’s principal major gift fundraiser. Director, along with CEO, creates and implements a fundraising plan detailing how the organization can obtain financial
support; often, the plan identifies sources such as individual investors, grants, charitable events, marketing opportunities, and corporate investors. The fundraising plan also contains strategies to successfully build a large donor base and ensure effective fundraising.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
• Comfortable working on a computer
• Demonstrate good communication skills, both written and oral

Education: Minimum of 2 years’ experience; Bachelor’s degree required.
License: Drivers (Required) Must have reliable transportation

Pay Scale: $45,000 – $62,000
