COURSE SUMMARY

The Nonprofit Center workshop on Major Gifts and Planned Giving will equip attendees with the knowledge and skills to foster meaningful, future-oriented philanthropic partnerships. Participants will learn that planned giving is not just a category, but a description of a giving approach that benefits both the donor and the cause. The course delves into the differerent types of planned gifts, including assets with special tax benefits such as stock, life insurance, real estate, annuities, and trusts. The focus will be on understanding the importance of planned giving as a crucial component of a major gift program. Contributes to the Compilation of Sections 1, 2, 4, & 5 of the Certification Portfolio.
