Josh Newby serves as the President/CEO for the Council on Aging of West Florida. He received a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a master’s degree in strategic communication from the University of West Florida. Newby was previously the marketing director at Council on Aging, where he oversaw marketing strategy, media, social media, photo and video production, fundraising, volunteers and more. He is a graduate of the Pensacola Chamber Foundation’s Leadership Pensacola program and serves on the board of the Florida Public Relations Association, the Baptist Health Care Mission & Community Impact committee, and the Florida Council on Aging. Newby was named a 2019 Rising Star and a 2023 Power List honoree from IN Weekly.

Paula Shell, President & CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida, brings over 32 years of experience in Child Services to her role. With a career spanning from managing group homes for adolescents at Lakeview Center, Inc., to her current 22-year tenure at Big Brothers Big Sisters, she expertly oversees agency leadership, vision, fundraising, marketing, client services, community awareness, and volunteer relations. Holding an AA degree from Pensacola State College and a BA degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from the University of West Florida, Paula’s dedication to positive outcomes is evident. She’s a graduate of the 2003 Leadership Pensacola Class, a member of IMPACT 100, and a key contributor to Big Brothers Big Sisters Association of Florida’s legislative direction. Her service extends to roles on the Ministry Village Project Board of Directors at Olive Baptist Church and the Florida Chapter Board for the Arthritis Foundation.
